Is 30 minutes-1 hour enough time for our session?Yes! Children’s sessions on average take 20 minutes and family sessions on average take 30 minutes. I do my best to work as quickly and flawlessly as possible to capture your family’s moments. If you are uncertain about time frames please dont hesitate to contact me about accommodations for time. I do schedule in buffer time between sessions and tend to allow more time when there are younger kiddos involved just to be safe.

What if my child isn’t cooperating? What can I do to make sure things go smoothly? It’s rare that a child doesn’t cooperate at all, sometimes it just takes a bit extra time for them to warm up, and that’s not a problem! You can help by getting your child excited about their photos if possible a few days before your session. Bring items they enjoy, toys, blankets, snacks, the works! What if we need to reschedule?Sometimes kids or parents get sick, the weather decides not to cooperate, or family members decide to schedule events last minute. We can take these situations as they arise. Deposits are transferrable to another date if something does come up. ***If you or a family member are ill, it's best for us to reschedule to keep everyone happy and healthy, please don't hesitate to contact me about rescheduling! The only time rescheduling may be more difficult than normal would be for special mini session events or during the fall season but I am sure that we can figure out a solution!

Can you help me with picking outfits?I sure can, whether it be for just your child or a large family session, I am here to help with colors, patterns and outfit ideas! Pinterest is the best place to go for ideas, I have plenty of links that I can send over to you if you need some inspiration. I also have a large client wardrobe for infants and kiddos and might have just what you need.
-
What locations do you use?I use a variety of locations in the Manitowoc area, generally local parks, as well as my in home studio. If there are specific locations you are thinking about for your outdoor session, please feel free to contact me and we can chat about it.

Can we try photos I’ve found online/on Pinterest?Pinterest is wonderful to gather ideas! But it’s a source of inspiration, and shouldn’t be used as a guideline for your session. If we’re focusing on recreating someone else’s images, that leaves us less time to create images that capture YOUR family. We can absolutely take ideas and elements incorporating them into your images. Keep in mind that especially with little ones things dont always go according to plan. Its best to have a general idea and go with the flow.

Can I keep my images private? You sure can! While filling out your contract there is an option for images being online or not. I only share gallery links with you, and only post images online when permission is given at the time of the contract. No worries! I can also password protect any gallery for you if you would like.

How does printing work?I always recommend printing through a gallery that I send via Pixieset. Photos will be printed through a professional lab (WHCC) and sent directly to your home. Print prices are set competitively with other professional labs. I can not guarantee the quality from commercial printing facilities such as local/chain stores or online sites like Shutterfly. If you do choose to print photos on your own I recommend using Mpix as they are a sub company of a professional printing company. If at any time you have questions about printing through myself or any other lab please contact me! I am happy to assist!

How do we receive our images?I deliver photos via Dropbox or Pixieset, the same high res files for both options. If you purchased a usb drive, those will be delivered via mail or drop off (local only).

How long will it take to get our gallery/images?I deliver your images within 2 weeks of your session. During very busy times of the year it may be a bit longer. I always let clients know at their session about how long it will take and send updates if anything changes. Always feel free to message me if you're wondering when images will be complete!

I have questions about a newborn session! What if I have my baby early or later than my due date? That’s okay! I book for about 1 week past your due date. If baby arrives early, we can move it up, or if baby arrives later we can move it out. No worries! Do I need to provide anything for my newborn session? You will only need to bring yourself, baby and the regular items you would bring along going out with baby. I have all wraps, hats, blankets, headbands, backdrops, etc. If there is something specific that you would like in your images just let me know and we can chat! Clients often bring specific items such as a blanket, or a hat grandma made, etc. to include in their session, and that’s just fine! How do I prepare for my newborn session? I will send out information on this to you after you book your session. I promise that there is nothing special that will need to be done. Trying to make sure baby is fed and sleepy for their session is really all that is needed. I will send out some tips before your session takes place as well.

Can we bring our dog?Yes! Just make sure to let me know ahead of time so that we can plan accordingly. If your session is outdoors we want to make sure that we are using a location that is dog friendly. If we are going to be in studio we want to be sure that we get the images with your pet done first before the others.
