I have to say, it was a long road trying to get the carousel restored to a vintage and beautiful state.
You see, I acquired this giant prop from a local haunted house. Even in its somewhat beat up state and paint, I wanted it, and I bought it.
I had no idea what I was going to do with it, I'd be lying if I said I had a plan before I bought it. There wasn't even a plan of how to get it home! But I just knew that I could make it beautiful! I knew that it was going to be a lot of work and that it was going to be restored and be one heck of a prop when it was done!
I’ll be honest, it sat in storage for almost a year until I was able to start on it.
A lot of primer, a lot of helpful hands, and some of the best paint money can buy (seriously, enamel furniture paint, it’s the best!), and the carousel was completed just in time for a weekend full of smiling faces!
Vintage Carousel Mini Sessions will be offered once a year. If you missed out this year, don't worry! You can still contact me to be on the list for next year, I will open as many spots as needed to accomodate those who are interested for 2016.
